Matapalo Community
| Corozo
Our followers on Instagram will know that we have been telling the story of Corozo for the past few months, including an introduction to members of the Matapalo community who live deep in the Ecuadorian rainforest and whose livelihoods rely upon their forays into the forest to collect the nuts. It is a way of life that they share with their ancestors and wish to pass on to their children. It is one in which both mankind and nature live in complete harmony. To show our appreciation for their help and support, we donated some money to the Matapalo community and were rewarded with this touching photograph. As if making corozo buttons wasn’t reward enough, the rewards of kinship with people thousands of miles away are far greater. We had no idea how special button-making could be.

16L Corozo Buttons
| Corozo
16 x 3 = 8. Yes, it’s true. We’ve just made our first ever 16L Corozo buttons in 3 patterns, Spelsbury 2267, Malmesbury 2263 and a 2-hole fish-eye making them the 8th size of buttons in our range. A great new addition, we think, whatever the maths.
